Texit is the first non-fiction book to delve into the motivations, the process, and the practicality of a modern-day Texas exit from United States. Channeling his 20 years of experience on the issue, author Daniel Miller, takes the reader through the historical and cultural foundations of Texit, its impact on mainstream politics, and plainly lays out the grievances expressed by many Texans that drive their support for an independent Texas.

Texit also addresses the most common objections with facts and sheds light on what a future Republic of Texas could look like.

Foreword by John Griffing.

Editorial Reviews

Review

"Texit is the result when reasoned logic meets the God-given Right of Self-Determination. Not since Thomas Paine penned Common Sense in 1776 has there been a more eloquent, researched and concise argument for providing citizens with the unencumbered freedom to choose their own destiny. Miller travels well beyond the conventional arguments about the encroachments into our freedoms by the Federal government and tackles the practical challenges that include the legalities, debt, currency, military, social security and the economics of an independent Texas. Texit is a must read for all those who believe governments solely derive their power from the absolute consent of the governed." - David Thomas Roberts, CEO - Teligistics, Publisher & Author of "A State of Treason"

"As someone with close involvement in Brexit and Grexit, having actively fought and experienced the difficulties of fighting against the establishment and an almighty union, I regard Daniel Miller's book as a snapshot into the future of the United States." -
George Konstantinidis, UK Independence Party Regional Chairman 2014-2017

"Yes, Texas independence is possible. In fact, the prospect of Texas independence is most probable! Unprecedented in any published work, Texit by Daniel Miller patiently gives the details - step by step - what must be done for the prophecy of President Sam Houston to come to fruition." -
Apostle Claver, CEO of Raging Elephants Radio LLC

"In Texit, Daniel Miller has an uncanny ability to wax eloquent on information and content that would have most floundering for air. His educational approach to this highly volatile topic, referencing Texas history, noting events and occurrences that most people were never exposed to or have completely forgotten, for their significance back then, and appropriately, for the relevance these dogmas and precepts have right now has to be surprisingly smooth and palatable to all readers--no matter their background. Whatever argument one can make against Texit, Miller's "let us reason together" mantra makes such a compelling case that more and more Texans will be considering his work as a textbook to better days ahead." -
David Carr, Carr Capital CEO and Author

"Unquestionably, the quickest solution to this problem for Texas is to exercise the right of secession, which instantly cuts off altogether the power of the federal government to interfere in Texan affairs. Texas has always retained the right to secede from the Union." -
Lord Christopher Monckton, former adviser to UK Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, Viscount of Brenchley

Texit is an inevitability. Miller lays out the constitutional and morally-sound method for doing so with the least amount of acrimony possible (presuming all parties stay level-headed and calm.)There IS a path to independence for Texas, or any state for that matter, in that the US Constitution is SILENT on separations and at the same time black-and-white on the concept that, being a limiting document, anything not specified is out of its purview. For my first assertion, and for Texas in particular, see Article 1, Section 2 of the Constitution of 1874 (our most-recent and therefore governing document.) See 10th Amendment to the US Constitution to support my second assertion.Mr. Miller expands on this kernel and gives a number of rebuttal points to those doubters, as well as sources supportive of furthering independence, the most-important being that for consistency, the US *must* allow Texas' separation after a legitmate popular vote or else its entire foreign policy is shown to be hypocritical. Please acquire a copy of this book by any means you can, and give it a read. Then go to the TNM website and indicate your support at whatever level you are comfortable with.

I had heard that there was some discussion of Texas leaving the U.S. but thought it was wishful thinking - until I read this book. What I had seen as an impossibility turns out to be quite doable, and, in fact, necessary. Daniel Miller lays out the process in what is a very well thought out and researched manner. This is a must-read for every Texan (whether by birth or by choice). Miller’s points about the decline of the U.S. are right on target - even those who would not admit it in public likely believe and know it’s true deep down. Self determination is an unalienable right, and Texans should have that choice; I applaud the TNM for working to provide us with that opportunity through a referendum. This decision is vital not only for Texas voters today, but the result will impact their children, their grandchildren, and future Texas generations.

Excellent, well-researched history/analysis. The topic is the impending departure of Texas from the US. Even if you do not call Texas home, nobody can help seeing chilling parallels in their own lives. Our constitution was Jeffersonian in concept. A primary precept was a small central govern which was subservient to the states. Well, anyone can see that the federal government has grown into a gargantuan behemoth with its many bureaucracies sticking their noses into every aspect of our lives: "We The People" who are supposed to be in charge. Another Jeffersonian concept was isolationism, that is, staying out of other country's fights. Historians are still trying to figure out what our military was doing involved in World War. It seems once this sort of thing occurred, it became policy. And of course, the idea that the Federal government could not spend money it did not have. Of course, the national debt is now a horror to behold. This erosion of the Constitution has happened insidiously. Mr. Daniel Miller is to be roundly applauded for devoting most of his life researching and writing this explanation of why Texas will soon take its leave on the U.S. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wonders who stole our country, and how.

Wow... All Americans need to read this book. We have become silently complicit in allowing our government to become a socialist dictatorship. I know, dictatorship is a harsh description, but it’s become true because of our apathy and in doing so our deficit and budget will continue to grow to the point that the world stops financing our uncontrolled socialist growth. We owe 21 TRILLION dollars now and that’s more than our GDP. We are on track to suffer the same consequences as Spain and Greece.

At the end of the day, cash rules! Today, Texas pays more into the federal government than it receives benefits. Over 120 Billion dollars of the money of citizens from Texas gets sent to finance the socialist policies of liberal states like California, New York, Illinois, etc... Once Texans truly realize this why would they want to stay in the union?

The author accurately describes how our federal government has grown to be an out of control monster that can’t be stopped. Eventually the ticking time bomb of our economy will come to an end and when it does it will be forced with two choices: significantly cut benefits or default on our debt. Even worse and more probable is that our federal government might do both. Once this happens about one third of the states that pay more than their fair share like Texas are going to want to leave the union.

The author then goes into a multiple chapter description of why states can leave the union. His synopsis is accurate and at the end of the day only the fear tactics used by the fed are keeping states like Texas is in the union. The IRS and its ability to attack any American is the federals long time favorite to stop any citizen from supporting a vote to leave the union. The IRS is unchecked by Congress and works with uncontrolled power by the President. Even Trump failed to fire the IRS director for singling out Tea Party leaders, not to mention his own tax audit. Had Trump actually fired the director and put an end to the IRS, we would be far better off not to mention moving back to restoring the balance of power between states and the federal government.

At the end of the day, the author is right. There is no law, statute or otherwise any reason that prevents states from voting their way out of the union. Texas will probably lead the way by being first to vote on the matter, and when they do it will pass because it’s in the best interest of Texans. For that matter, it’s in the best interest of all Americans at this point. I see no way that we will ever pay our debt.

The other topics discussed in great detail are all the ways the federal government will try to scare citizens from voting for leaving the union.

Unless something changes about our federal government in the areas of Debt, Budget, Socialist Agenda that continues to concentrate all power in the central government, then we are pretty much doomed to a dissolving union. This may even explain why Biden was allowed to take office after clear election fraud. Biden will only speed the current crisis along faster bringing us to the trigger point of our national debt requiring drastic new taxes and benefit cuts!

What are we supposed to expect from a book that delves into the dynamic rationales of something as esoteric as TEXIT? As a sixth-generation Texan and despite my respect for Dan Miller and his dedication to Texas independence, I was apprehensive. In short, my apprehensions were relieved. The deliberate, well-reasoned approach Miller applies quickly dispels any lingering doubts as to the feasibility of TEXIT. Miller painstakingly dismantles virtually all of the popular objections to TEXIT and creates a masterful consideration of the elements that must be dealt with toward achieving peaceful transition to Texas independence. I did find Miller to be overly gentle, even too politic with the big-government-loving Progressive socialists in our midst that people mostly academic circles and our dense urban plantations. Perhaps, that was necessary so as not to totally off-put the political far left. These are the people that see the U.S. Constitution as an archaic relic rather than an enduring foundation of governance. Also, a huge concern for post-TEXIT will be education, as Texas will be pressed to overturn the one-size-fits-all indoctrination perpetuated in the ancient Prussian-based U.S. education model. TEXIT will enable Texas to implement fresh approaches to K-12 and post-high-school education content and outcomes. In sum, I believe that Dan Miller’s book does a fine job of laying out the path to achieving Texas’ destiny of joining the world stage as an independent nation.
