Get your music on the air
Radio Free Texas has played independent Texas and Red Dirt music since 2005, and everything we play, we chose. Make a free artist account and upload your songs. The First Lady will give them a listen, and if she adds one, your artist page goes up with it.
Who can send music
- Texas and Red Dirt artists. You live in Texas, you grew up here, you're part of the Red Dirt scene in Oklahoma, or you tour and play shows here regularly.
- Country, Red Dirt and Americana. Honky-tonk, western swing, folk and country rock count too. Hip-hop, pop, EDM and metal don't fit the station.
- A finished song, as an audio file. MP3, WAV, FLAC or M4A, mixed and mastered, at least a minute and a half long. A Spotify or YouTube link isn't enough, and neither are phone recordings or clips.
- Made by people. We don't play songs whose music or vocals came from an AI service like Suno or Udio. AI mastering is fine.
- A clean radio edit. No cursing or explicit lyrics. If the album version has them, send the radio edit.
- Yours to send. You wrote it or have the rights to it.
